Description

Chicken Broccoli Orzo is a comforting, creamy dish that brings together tender chicken, vibrant broccoli, and al dente orzo pasta. This one-pot meal is perfect for busy weeknights or cozy gatherings, offering an explosion of flavors that will have everyone asking for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by chopping the broccoli into bite-sized pieces and mincing the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, cook the seasoned chicken breasts until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute before tossing in broccoli florets. Sauté until bright green and slightly tender, around 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in uncooked orzo and chicken broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer until orzo is al dente, about 10-12 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
