Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme (or 1 tsp dried)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add oil and sauté onions until translucent. Add carrots and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  3. Stir in ground beef and pork; season with salt, pepper, and thyme. Cook until browned.
  4. Pour in beef broth and let simmer for about 10 minutes until thickened.
  5. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface; cut into squares or circles. Fill with the meat mixture, fold, and seal edges.
  6. Brush tops with egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
